Lizzie Armitstead (Boels-Dolmans) had a great Tour of Qatar as she took the overall win. She took the lead after her stage 3 win and after winning stage 4, the overall title was secured. She also won the last stage, number 5, and took the overall points jersey.

Her teammate Ellen Van Dijk took the victory at the second stage and placed third in the overall.

Chloe Hosking (Wiggle Honda) finished second.
