So, so, so sad. But Wouter Mol has announced his retirement, according to Sporza. Mol raced with the Vacansoleil-DCM team this season, but now it has folded and the rider has not been able to find a team for 2014.

"I am not stopping cycling, but will not be a professional anymore. I'll do amateur races for fun," said Mol to the Dutch broadcaster RTV Noord-Holland.

Mol won the Tour of Qatar in 2010.
