The Dutchman thought he would stay with Cervélo TestTeam for two years, but last week the team suddenly announce its closure.
“There is still little clarity at Cervelo,” his manager Orlando van den Bosch told the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. “Besides the financial picture, Bos chose the team for its sporting offer. Now the sponsor just withdraws and does not comply with the contracts.”
Rabobank's team management talked to Theo Bos instantaneously and offered him a new contract. He could have continued to search for a new team, but he seems pleased that Rabobank asked him to return.
Actually eight teams are said to have contacted the sprinter, but Rabobank is definitely the safest option. And the most familiar. Returning doesn't mean he will stay with them forever.
