At the final stage of the 2013 Giro d'Italia, no one could take away the victory from Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) in the general classification. His first overall title in his home Grand Tour.

“It’s really stupendous, unimaginable,” Nibali said after winning. “It’s very emotional. It’s going to take a few days for me to realise what I’ve done.”

Nibali crossed the finish line a few seconds behind Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-QuickStep).
