It must be a dark day for Ivan Basso. His Giro d'Italia participation is dark and the Italian Olympic Comittee (CONI) has once again opened the case, which will tell us if he has blood doped himself. The bags, labelled 'Birillo' (may be the name of his dog) and number '2' are suspected to belong to Basso. Hopefully they ask him for a DNA-sample and then we'll know. It hurts me that I can't trust him anymore.

He has been asked by his team, Discovery Channel to stop competition pending the outcome of the re-opened investigation. It will, certainly, be interesting to see what will happen now. Hopefully we will know in a couple of weeks.
